I say post the USMC along the border with UAV support. If anybody runs, you catch them and put em back in Mexico.

The problem is that they can just keep coming back because the Mexican government doesn't give a shit and they won't jail these scum bags. If there was a shoot-on-sight order than those illegals would stay put.

We spend millions of dollars using aircraft, ships and land based personnel protecting our own border/economic exclusion zone, it just doesn't seem to be as topical.

True. I just thought UAVs were something of overkill though.

Could be considered overkill. But to be honest, regular surveillance and patrol is right up the UAV alley. If you want air surveillance then UAV cuts down on manpower needed, and they can stay airborne for longer.  (Not saying that this is what is actually needed on the US-Mexico border)

It is a crime... One that hasn't been enforced.
Try coming into Mexico from their Southern border from El Salvador etc...

UAVs can track targets using thermal imaging for a very long time. It would allow for less men on the ground and they would only need to respond to a UAV tracked and confirmed target.

The Afghans could just book a flight to Mexico, buy an AK, cross into the US, go to the closest mall and open fire. Thank God they aren't that smart, because that would be a real direct threat to our country. It would kill more people eventually than their failed bomb skills.

Secure your boarders before you go invade countries. People need to stop being politically correct and polite, humane and all that shit.

Start being fucking men, and face the consequences of your actions instead of making stupid laws to protect you.

It's DST, opinions are allowed. Putting the USMC on the border probably isn't the best idea though. I'm not jumping on the bandwagon, but the Marines are meant to be on the frontlines of battle, wherever needed, meaning they'd do poorly as a border patrol. On the border, they'd be sitting around mainly. The USA should see if they an get the UN to put severe punishments on mexico or something for all the border violations.

Oh, I doubt that would ever, ever, ever, ever, ever happen. The UN is not a good body at doing things of its own initiative.

Or...
USA: Let's make mexico make sure their citizens stay in mexico, with severe penalties if they don't!
France: Agreed
Russia: Not my problem... agreed
USA: Agreed
China: Ditto, Russia. Agreed, secure the borders mexico.
Every other country: Agreed
Britain: Veto

And what will come out of that? Jackfuckall. And no way all those countries will vote for.

UN is a good discussion forum, and a nice place to coordinate things that people were going to do anyway, other than that...

I honestly can't tell whether you're just naive, a child, or both. The UN is quite possibly the biggest waste of money in human history. It is worse than useless, it's dangerous.

And I hate to break it to you, but not all opinions are valid and not all opinions are worthy of debate or serious reflection. You're new here so I'll give you the lowdown: 99% of what Sh1fty posts is borderline retarded.
