The shots were fired from teh US side.  But you're telling me that you cant defend yourself in Mexico if assaulted with deadly force?

that remains to be proven.  I dont believe mexican officials but the same time if these guys were across the border, they deserved a lot more than rocks. However, if they were getting shit thrown at the them as they were on our side, fuck it, drop the hammer on whoever is throwing rocks.

from what I've read through other sites

supposely they had spotted him on the us side .... the BP took off after him .... he jumped back on to the mexican side then begin throwing rocks at the BP officers .... officer took down the indiviual .... mexican govt says that the BP officer entered their country because of .40 cal case shell found on the mexican side ..... an un-disclosed BP officer says theres footage of 4 mexican cops coming over to the US side and one picks something off the ground, walks back over to the mexican side - stops then continues walking away

I actually know somebody who was hit in the head by a thrown rock; this was years ago and had nothing to do with mexicans. The friend spent three months in a coma and almost died. Rocks are deadly weapons.
My position is that airships should have been dispatched to eliminate the soldiers leveling weapons on American federal agents. There should be marines on the border. Whatever pathetic excuse for policy the feds have demonstrated has been a designed failure. Arizona passed a tough law because they do not want the kidnappings, dead ranchers, trashed throughways and squatting peoples that the feds border policy has brung. Fuck 'em, say the feds. Fuck 'em says Arizona right back. I says Jan for president.

The US has already been dealing with armed raids (albeit unofficial and criminal) from Mexico. And America should lie low? LOL!!
