Great system... but I have a question
What made you decide to use sata as opposed to 15K scsi? Just curious.
Also what type of raid configuration and why?
I'm just interested, everyone seems to be choosing sata for servers and raid-5 with 3-disks it just doesn't make sence to me.
Nobody seems to use dual channel 4 drive scsi 0+1's anymore.

scsi is nice. Nice and expensive. And hot.
Besides, scsi only matters when you are running lots of data off the drives. When you need crazy speed. And since I'll run all the data directly from RAM, i don't think it's really going to be much of a problem

A64 3500+
Gigabyte K8N-SLI
1GB 400MHz RAM(dual channel, runs at 800MHz(adding a GB or 2 soon))
6600gt PCI-e(on it's way out for 7800GT)
160GB HD
ThermalTake Soprano case
(CPU runs at 21C idle, 37C going hard with 2% OC)
You don't need to include the stuff in brackets, but it's nice to tell people enough so that they actually have some idea what you really have, and can even scream "NOOOOOO, that MoBo doesn't support X2" like I did for some guy on another forum.
