you can close them manually without the program too... though it might just be this rom, im not sure if stock had it to be perfectly honest

not that i need them, i just ended a 8am-1:30am day with 40% battery left.  and i use my phone quite a bit - including daily tethering and streaming music

Once I get my Galaxy Nexus at the end of the year I'm going to beg my boss to get us Bloomberg Anywhere subscriptions to go along with our Bloomberg terminal accounts... the normal Bloomberg app is OK but once you've used a Bloomberg terminal and you have all of that on a mobile device or in a browser, you never want anything else.

I didn't like the last lass browser tbh. I love it on my machines though. Forgot to mention some of the important ones u did like titanium backup. I use the go suite of apps as well.. except the weather one. I like the SMS one over handcent. Maybe its just a matter of familiarity .. again would love for one of them to work Google voice (send).

Also use tunewiki, which streams shoutcast stations with lyrics.

yeah i think handcent vs go sms is totally preference.  i liked handcent because it had better theme customizations - i made it so i can read in sunlight, even with low brightness settings.  i liked go launcher better than launcherpro too.  and google voice doesnt work here
I missed K-9 (email client), N64oid (N64 emulator), GameBoid (GameBoy emulator), SuperUser (root), and SwiftKeyX (really good predictive keyboard)

Why the long face sere

Which one, I see two nearly identical horses in that pic.. if I didn't know better I'd think it was "find 5 faults"

You customize everything with go sms pro also. I personally like it dark tho. I might try SwiftKeyX because my thumb keyboard is acting a little laggy for some reason now.

Yeah, but I just found it better using Handcent.  My only problem now is that its having issues with MMS

What weather app do you use then?

SwiftKeyX has been working well so far, I'm really torn between it and swype though.

I was using accuweather, but over the last month it kept showing a network error in my notification bar (when there wasnt). So I uninstalled it.

However it looks like they might have fixed it with the last update.

I used swype for a while. And truthfully it wasn't as fast as traditional texting for me.

maybe i'm poor (which I am) but in no way can i justify spending that amount of duckets on a PHONE. especially with options out there that are so similar. I mean it's fine to invest in something that you rely on so much for business and personal but with an option that is probably only a tiny bit less 'cool/better/nicer/etc' and at least half the price... why in gods name would you?
Kmar
Truth is my Bitch
+5,695|6819|132 and Bush

yea.. no way I'd pay full price. I'm sure the cost is going to be dramatically lower if you're up for renewal. We get in the $200's and it's not that bad considering how much one might rely on such a device for a couple years. You're going to want something that will keep up for that time period.

I would be very surprised if the price didn't come down much farther within the first few months. What's odd is the Galaxy S2 costs about €450 (some places less) unlocked and the price comparison website is seemingly listing the Galaxy Nexus for €600-700. I find it hard to believe that it will actually remain at that price for long considering the S2 is essentially the same phone (minus the OS)... but who knows, we'll see. I can justify €450 but anything more than that is really just way too much for a phone.

Was at a Nokia World press event yesterday here in Vienna and got to play with the Lumia 800... now I really cannot decide if I want that phone or the Galaxy Nexus! I'm supposed to get the 800 from Nokia shortly before its official release here in Austria (sometime in Dec/Jan; I know, this country can be so lame sometimes), so I'll wait until then to buy a new phone.

I just never have a problem with my battery because most of the time I have a computer or a car outlet next to me. If I go out for the night or something I'm usually not using my phone a lot... not enough to actually have to worry about my battery dieing at least.

i heard it was better to run the battery all the way down and charge it all the way up? cause it has some memory in it where it thinks if you only run it down half way before you charge it every time it thinks half way is full way.

or something like that. I dunno thats what i heard so I always try to run it all the way empty before charging (usually about 2 days of medium texting/apps or 1 day of lots of texting/apps/calls)
