Actually, I find regular cotton tampons and menstrual pads more disgusting, with all the coagulated blood and semi-dried vaginal discharge, all smeared around from wearing.

With these silicone plugs, a woman would obviously capture her menstruation in liquid form and quickly get it into the freezer or to a laboratory.

Which brings us to the next issue (which the Miss smarty-pants from design school obviously didn't think over):
Who's gonna build up the infrastructure for collecting millions of those tampons? It's not as simple as sending in a photographic film for development.
