USS Pampanito (SS-383)

This is very cool. You simply click on one of the pictures and you are afforded a 360 view of the room you are in. The control room and forward torpedo rooms are mah' favorites.

did you know the reason why SF has so many gays is because during WW2, SF was major navy hub and the gayvy used SF as a place to discharge all its sailors that were outted homosexuals.

Not really, imagine going down the sewer and looking at the pipes and cables running along the sides.
It sums up whats it like. The sailors slept right above the torpedoes and the diesel engine was not far off.
The Officer(s) quarters were not better off; they had polished brass lol
I think I have some old photos of the Pompanito (before digital cameras)
