Yeah, testing out an awesome sound system that I bought with a few friends tonight/tomorrow night, and I need some epic music that bombards you with.. sound really. You know, the type where you sit back and think "woah, what just hit me"

I have nothing really, though I'll play Fuck Buttons' Surf Solar, because I can only imagine it's even more immense on a nice system.

I'm listening to it on YouTube atm (yaya, lol etc), and though it's not something I'd listen to every day, it's exactly what I'm looking for.

Though I doubt it'll get much playing time.. What was that electronic song that was relatively "hard core" that you linked to some months ago? 'twas on Vimeo, video was just a visualization.

all autechre is pretty good. it's... 'prettier' than SND, but fundamentally the same aesthetic. complex rhythms, computer-coded geekery.

The last track would be pretty good, lots of highs and lows and everything in between. It's been well produced and mastered, if not a little repetitive in one part.

Not really true. Music like Stairway to Heaven will test the intricacies of the tweeters, whilst stuff like Eastern Glow - The Album Leaf will test the speed and accuracy of the bass. It's not exactly "throw any song you have at it and see if it sounds okay".

that 96Hz, 24-bit SND album that i recommended is in an incredibly high-quality format. it is also incredibly complex. the sound and production is polished to near perfection and will test every individual component of a speaker system to the max. it is sound-art - sound experimentalism, more than 'music'. absolutely bloody fascinating. will give you a headache if you play it too loud for too long, though. it's like machine music made for hardware-geeks .

Hey can't get 96KHz, lol... A USB input device can only go up to 44.1KHz.
