GTA III nailed down the gameplay but not so much the atmosphere (although was probably one of the most revolutionary games of all time)... GTA VC nailed down both.

and then San Andreas...don't even get me started on the fun I had on that game with my friend. MP with cheats was so

I bought the whole Rockstar package for €42.49 today.

GTAIII was a revolutionary game with so many new things to try and explore, although it had a rather weak story.

Vice City had a great story with a lot of allusions to gangster movies and TV series, but the problem was, that - although the map was larger and
more stuff to do - I rushed through the game in a fraction of the time I needed for the predecessor. In the end, that left me with a stale feeling of having merely played a small extension pack of some sorts.

San Andreas was the best mix of new things to explore, long playing time and immersion. The only drawbacks here were that the story was ridiculously unrealistic at some parts (flying jet fighters, infiltrating secret military bases) and drifting away too much from the street thug gangster genre. The series is called "Grand Theft Auto" for a reason.
Also, the Las Venturas part of the game felt very rushed and incomplete, with a lack of detail in comparison to the other two cities.

What I don't get, is that even though 3,VC, and SA are all on the same engine (right?) I can only do 1080p on 3 and VC. SA doesn't even seem to support 16:9.
