One family moving to Pennsylvania because her legal husband could be pulled over for driving her illegal wife.  Has two children born here.  So, what's the problem?  Why isn't she married, aka, becoming legal.

It's like The Tower of Babel.

Tax codes nobody understands, laws nobody reads, contradicttory news and criminal politicians.

A police state is fine, as long as like ruling class is not subject to the batton.

Prop 187 in California would have done more to end illegal immigration than anything.

One can only conclude that there is no law and order anymore.

I have come up with a new way to solve this problem not just for Arizona but for the US in general.

1) We will withdraw our troops from all over the
world, starting with Germany , South Korea , the
Middle East , and the Philippines. They don't want us
there. We would station troops at our borders. No one
allowed sneaking through holes in the fence.

2) All illegal aliens have 90 days to get their
affairs together and leave We'll give them a free trip
home. After 90 days the remainder will be gathered up
and deported immediately, regardless of whom or where
they are. They're illegal!!! France will welcome them.

4) All future visitors will be thoroughly checked and
limited to 90 days unless given a special permit!!!!
No one from a terrorist nation will be allowed in. If
you don't like it there, change it yourself and don't
hide here. Asylum would never be available to anyone.
We don't need any more cab drivers or 7-11 cashiers.

5) No foreign 'students' over age 21. The older ones
are the bombers. If they don't attend classes, they
get a 'D' and it's back home baby! .

6) The US will make a strong effort to become
self-sufficient energy wise. This will include
developing nonpolluting sources of energy but will
require a temporary drilling of oil in the Alaskan
wilderness. The caribou will have to cope for a while

7) Offer Saudi Arabia and other oil producing
countries $10 a barrel for their oil. If they don't
like it, we go someplace else. They can go somewhere
else to sell their production. (About a week of the
wells filling up the storage sites would be enough.)

8) If there is a famine or other natural catastrophe
in the world, we will not 'interfere'. They can pray
to Allah or whomever, for seeds, rain, cement or
whatever they need. Besides most of what we give them
is stolen or given to the army. The people who need it
most get very little, if anything.

9) Ship the UN Headquarters to an isolated island
someplace. We don't need the spies and fair weather
friends here. Besides, the building would make a good
homeless shelter or lockup for illegal aliens.

10) All Americans must go to charm and beauty school.
That way, no one can call us 'Ugly Americans' any
longer. The Language we speak is ENGLISH..learn
it...or LEAVE...Now, isn't that a winner of a plan?

I was watching the news last night on this.  Somebody made a comment that is hard to argue:

The cops are supposed to be enforcing the law.  Working illegally in the country is breaking the law.  It seems like the cops should be able to ask anyone for their ID if they have just cause.  Now the cops can't ask for an ID?  Isn't carrying an ID something everyone in the US has been required to do since the dawn of time?

Specifically, even if the person is working illegally in a field, they can't ask for an ID.  Even if they have proof.  They have to call the Feds.

Now I can't deny that you can't just haul off and start pulling everyone over randomly.  There has to be a reason.  But, according to the ruling, you can't ask for ID anymore for certain infractions.  You have to call the feds.

Actually, the cops just can't be forced to check immigration status, according to the injunction.

Basically, the judge, by not following the rules required for injunctions prior to passage, has mucked things up even more and set this up for one hell of an appeal.

No matter what happened, both sides are going to appeal.  This is going all the way up to the supreme court.

I'm not sure if you wrote that right...

...I think the cops can't force anyone to provide an ID unless there is a confirmation of probable cause.  But only for certain offences.

For instance, the local cops can't act on a tip that illegals are working on a farm, because they are breaking a federal law.

My point is, if the laws is broken and you know it, who cares who arrests?

Sheriff Joe does act on those tips. He catches the illegals committing other crimes such as identity theft.

http://www.mcso.org/include/pr_pdf/Sizz … elease.pdf

This investigation marks the 35th of its kind where sheriff’s deputies have gone into businesses and arrested illegal aliens who were using false identification to live and work in the United States. The investigations have resulted in the arrest of nearly 400 illegal aliens, 264 of which were booked for identity theft a class four felony.

Then they get slapped on the wrist and released back in the public (not even deported), and then pick up a new identity and continue working the same job.

Seen it happen several times at the fast food place I used to work at. Wonderful times.

Actually, if illegals are working on a farm, they are breaking a federal law.

The key phrasing in the injunction is that the local cops can't be forced to check someone's immigration status. They can certainly check it as a matter of course in their normal duties, however.

The Federal (and ACLU) argument was that Arizona would put an "undue burden" on the federal system by turning over too many illegals for processing. You read that correctly: The basis of their argument was that they can't be expected to do their statutory duty.
