Amazing - go to any gaming site and check out the comments for just about any article (IGN is an excellent example) and the amount of PS3 or Xbox fanboys bitching about the other system and getting so insanely worked up over a bloody games console is amazing. Seriously, don't 12-year-olds have anything else to do with their lives these days. I mean, I have both and apart from the fact the 360 sounds like a jet taking off in my living room I honestly can't say there's really any difference between them, except the 360 seems marginally easier to get into for online gaming with friends. The IGN article about the PS3 fuck up this week is a great example.

WHY DO THEY BOTHER?

So, any fanboys around here or can we all agree that spending time on a website posting shit about how bad the other consoles are is a waste of time?

My honest opinion is that the consoles are equally matched and the PC blows both away. Lulz ensues when I tell consolefags IRL that X360s and PS3s are shit when compared to PCs.

yeah i definitely like the PC more but i dont have the money to upgrade it.

xbox is a lot more simpler for me at times since everyone at my school happens to have it, easier to transport. plug and play really meant for gaming. cheaper too.

almost everyone has a pc of course but theyre usually pretty shit and they dont game on them.

Outside of internet PC gaming forums, most everyone has little more then a basic computer.
The number of console owners is many many times more then the number of people with built gaming computers capable of running all the newest games with decent performance.

As a PC and console gamer, I give consoles more credit for value and in-house two+ player entertainment. Parts prices for PC's are blown way out of proportion for the end-user.

I don't have either console.
But I don't see why anyone would rather Xbox. I don't know much about the difference in playing the games but the way I see it with xbox you buy the console, the games, pay for your internet connection then they charge you to use your internet connection?!.

When you could have a PS3 that does it for free? Maybe I'm missing something though as I can't even afford either.
