I forged a knife recently. Made the blade out of an old car spring. Aside from the heating and hammering which is fucking tiring and gave me blisters it is quite a calming albeit focussed process.Kampframmer wrote:

Guess so, though I don't think Parker forged any of his blades, he mostly likely cut and fashioned them from sheet steel and crafted the rest from stuff you can find in catalogues, (handle materials, mechanisms etc.) Still had to forge it a bit, (hardening,) but I doubt he hammered it out like I had to. Clearly I'm better than him. Also I don't commit fraud.

Is it usually standard procedure to waltz across an open face of a mountain like that while they're shooting at you? He didn't seem like he was in much of a hurry either.

Also, it's really hard to tell how steep that hill is, and he fell and rolled over at one point.
What I noticed once more is that weapon sounds are way too unrealistic in computer games, even in Battlefield, which has one of the more realistic ones.

Shifty, I'm pretty sure when the adrenaline is going like that, you might not have the ability to distinguish and make those decisions quite so rapidly. Might have been panic on his part. And I'm pretty sure the bullet still hurt like hell despite the vest.
