bennis i think you're getting bagged on a temazepam street sale

also i can guarantee the middle-management fellas you were giving backrubs to do drugs a whole lot more and a whole lot more frequently than i do

having a good time at a party maybe once or twice a month is definitely incriminating though, i mean it invalidates every single argument

you still fail to provide any proof where I think I'm better than anyone. I don't. I'm a typical college freshman and I'm honestly not even having a good time at this college as I've said. You'd THINK most people would connect that with not trying to act cool and like I'm hot shit, but I guess some people really can pull things out of their bag of rhetoric that truly are completely unfounded accusations.

i still have no fashion sense - and probably won't until i get another job.

i don't have the money to

education wise it's great... my spanish professor here is BRILLIANT in how she teaches spanish. such a straightforward method and i'm finally getting the hang of it, unlike in high school. however, from what i hear from other people in my major, they're all switching to CRJ-based schools or schools with CRJ-heavy programs (such as Albany, which is where I want to transfer) because of pace's lack of a strong CRJ program

and NYC is GREAT for college... if you're all 21. we have 1 22 year old and 1 24 year old in my group - both former marines - but that's it. and in addition to not having any money where everything here is ridiculously expensive. most colleges, you go to a house party... $5 and you're good.

here, you go to a club, it's $20 for guys to get in, then $11 for a shot? wtf?

Ah I see what you mean. Yeah... it's hard to enjoy a ton of things when you're tight on cash. At least you're dorming though; right now I'm commuting and it's a bitch making friends. But I also like having a room that trumps most dorm rooms and my own bathroom and free meals.

And I hear you on the 21+ part, my nights would be much more enjoyable if I could fall asleep with an empty bottle of booze in my hand.

I have my own bathroom too

People commuting here (one of my good friends commutes from the Bronx... hour long subway ride for him), at least from what I've seen, make friends pretty easily. Then again it's a pretty small building/campus.

It's just ridiculous how quick my money's gone. I had $1600 dollars to start the year. That was what was left of my student loan money that I hadn't spent on my laptop, work money (about $900 of it) and money my father gave me for textbooks.

It's now gone. And has been since early October.

Well I'm shite at making friends as well but it's easier when you live on campus. It's a real pain to get to club meetings and things like that when I can't just walk there in 10 minutes.

But ya how did you go through $1600 lol?

edit: nvm

You don't have a meal plan?

Just cook your own food, a great meal isn't all that expensive. I make it a point to never cut on the food that I want, I'd much rather cut on going out instead.

Downside being that I have a lot of dishes to do after I'm done, sometimes just sucks getting home at 19;00 and still having to clean up everything, do groceries, cook food, learn for the next day etc.

bah.

I do. It's worth $1550 a semester. I just didn't use it much the first week. I went out with people to restaurants instead. Now that everyone else is in the same boat as me, it's dining hall for breakfast-lunch-dinner most of the time.

I learn how to be financially responsible by mistakes. Seriously.

The only purchase I made with all my graduation/work money that I'm happy about is my gym membership. I'm actually doing a negative freshman 15. I was 180 when I got here, 170 now.

hey poseidon here's a bit of free financial advise

stop pissing away money on over-priced shitty clothes with absolute 'broski' images that appeals to NOBODY except twats

maybe then you'll be able to afford a good time at a decent bar with real friends

you know, the sort that don't give a shit whether you're wearing at least 6 items of hollister's 2010 fall collection

so many freshman's make the fundamental mistake of thinking that by buying the right labels or by spending the right high-prices they'll automatically look good, stylish and in the know. you can tell them from a mile off. people wearing straight-cut jeans 2 sizes too big for them because they're from an italian designer. people wearing shitty jumpers and hoodies that don't even fit them properly, just because of the name emblazoned across the front.

I'm typically there. Ave. A and St. Marks are my "go-to" places.
