actualy yeah i have played guitar for 9/10 years now and did start out for the first 5-6 playing generic metal on down-tuned guitars with wide necks and EMG humbuckers with slack-loads of distortion and gain. sweep picking solos? fast killer riffs? chug-chugg breakdowns? OH MAH LAWDSSSS!

lol you really are prejudiced! Amazing. Just cos you say you played guitar for 9 years doesn't mean you're any good. Are you frustrated cos someone else got into the band and got all the girls or what? And just cos you changed your music likes doesn't mean the music you spent 5-6 years playing suddenly goes shit. What did you play for the last three years? Freeform jazz? LOL. Furthermore, what difference does it make if other people like the music? I don't like Avril Lavigne but couldn't care less if other people like her music, in fact good luck to them, people like all kinds of stuff, why do you need to be such an elitist snob? I can listen and appreciate Pantera - who, incidentally, are some of the finest rock musicians you'll ever hear - just as much as the latest drum and bass or 80s hip-hop. So what?
