Throughout the majority of this week and in parts of February the 2010 season officially kicks off with the unveiling of all of the comptetitor's cars. I'll update this OP regularly with pictures of each team's event.

I disagree. In fact, this season looks even more exciting than ever. A very unpredictable second half of 2009 looks set to continue in 2010, along with some driver switches and new/old faces returning. I can't even call a winner for the first race in Bahrain, there are so many potential winners: Hamilton, Button, Scuhmacher, Rosberg, Vettel, Webber, Massa, Alonso...? It looks very competitive between the big teams at the moment... bring on 2010!

You make it sound like F1 was fun in previous years... Schumacher winning over and over again? No thanks.

F1 was best pre Schumacher tbh ...

And your "In fact, this season looks even more exciting than ever" was also said about the seasons 2001 - 2009 and really those seasons was patched even worse than bf2 ...

I still like it. I remember vaguely the pre-Schumacher days. I definitely was switched off F1 during his dominance, but once Alonso came in, then Hamilton etc.. I got back into it alot.

Mainly cos I was older I got much more into the technical side of things too. Which is probably actually one of the main reasons I follow F1 these days, aside from the racing itself.

the technology behind these cars is amazing. First they were regular cars, but maybe a bigger engine and an extra seat belt... now, the crews put effort into thinking about material composition, body style, tire (or tyre) compound, downforce, etc. etc.
These people do not just drive, they science around the track.

It'll look even funnier than that because they're still using the 09 spec tyres for those release shots. The main striking things are the front wing/nose and wheelbase. The size of that engine cover, I knew these cars were gonna be abit longer but still

Hmm, interesting The RB5-styled nose was definately the one to beat last year. I'm expecting the vast majority to have this style of front wing!!

What's going on with the tires?

The front tyres are being narrowed down, which I think kind of helps the car with balance while carrying a heavy fuel load at the beginning of a race

That shark fin cover connecting to the rear wing looks like a very interesting concept!!! Hopefully this will give McLaren the edge, and hopefully it won't turn into a double decker diffuser fiasco again!
