MW2, SP was too short and shallow to warrant the money and the MP was extremely lacklustre.
can't really think of any others first. i'm not a buy-day-one guy (the only game i did buy day one is mw2, look how that turned out), i usually wait a few weeks and see what other people think first. or i play demo/beta a lot beforehand. so i tend not to buy games that turn out to be shit.

GTA4 was/is an awesome game. What are you guys on about, come on. Infact, it set my gaming standars so high, that I can't properly enjoy any other similar game anymore

I think people were a little disappointed with the brevity and somewhat "conservative" nature of the GTAIV plot compared to past games... I mean, where were the jetpack escapes from SAM sites and secret military bases holding alien remains? And the PC version placed far too many demands on hardware for its graphical quality.
