I just got my first purple star and i must say damn i was pissing myself trying to get it.

I got myself 5 kills and then went looking to die 20 times. It's weird how hard it is to actually go looking for death in BF2. Normally i am dying all over the place, but damn its hard when you want to die!

First time i have actually been running into the other sides arty. KILL MEEE!!!

how about you guys? did you find it a mission to die?

havent tried it yet and i dunno if i really need the purple heart

even when im getting pretty suicidal i still get out 1:1 at least in the last weeks and i nearly reached my 1.0 FR now after a long time fighting against my noobtime.

my bet would be karaknd and trying to defend the first flag on the MEC side, shouldnt be to hard there.

ps: i always die in an artillery strike ARRG AALLLLWAAYYYYYYYYYSSS thats why i have that forum name

ya i tried like 5 time couldnt get it.....it is really hard to die 20 times wen u know how to play..one day i was jus messen around and bamm i got it andi think it was i died 20 times and then killed 5 ina row..but it may not matter wat order u do it in.

Yea, The only reason I have it is because I tried. I would be reather ashamed if I got it playing normally....

Basically I got one kill then suicided 4 times, then got on kill and suicided 4 times. Then my most death streak wasn't 20. The last time I got tired of suiciding so I just ran with my pistol out into everything, and I also noticed that I couldnt die when I wanted!! It was crazy.

one round there with a knife should for sure bring me at least the purple heart

I don't want the purple heart. It's like the noob award. to make noobs feel good by atleast getting one award. some of my friends got 5 purple hearts... 3 in one round.. I don't understand how that's possible.. I don't think I've even died over 25 times in one game...(in my noob days) and I've recently got it down to less than 10 a game.. unless I'm being baseraped(which for some reason happens a lot now-a-days, stupid stat whores.).... or having a really bad game

LoL same here! i don't want it usually you get it when you have just started playing the game, but luckily i didn't

Sometimes people just plain impress me.

Even running around the map with my knife out the entire time didn't earn me a purple heart, instead I ended up getting that damn basic knife badge!

lol the round I got expert I had my knife out the whole time and was 18-24.... so I dont really think theres a 1:4 possibilty ever.. (as long as you bunnyhoplike me A LOT)

I'm with ya'll. That's actually one of my ultimate goals for the game is never to get a purple heart even when going for my knife badge. So far so good.

i usually die anything from 0-20 a round, (not in a row of course) depends on what im doing and if the medics can do their job. one round i got tked 6 times due to no fault of my own. (idiot with a tv missile a couple times)

I have no problem at all getting killed! I've received 2 Purple Hearts that I've just noticed arn't in my stats.

you need a 1:4=0.25 K/D ratio and 7:21 is 0.33 so you shouldnt have killed 2 guys
5kills and 20 deaths is just the minimum you got to have.

well, it's simply a representation of you doing badly...

I have one myself, but it wasn't at all intentional. I played dragon valley, and seemed to spawn either in front of a tank / apc / cobra or in an artillery barrage all the time.

sometimes, there are just bad days...

What happens if you die 20+ times with 0 kills? Do you still get it or does it have to be exactly that #?

ok ok, i just wanted to see if it was one of those 'this ratio or worse' type things. actually it would be cool to see how high you could get it while still preserving that ratio. for example, 25 kills: 100 deaths. that would make your overall K/D ratio reaaaaal purty.
