K I just watched the videos, by their own definition of GoTY, "Cannot be reliant on the tried and true. The mold must be broken. The envelope must be pushed." So that completely rules out MW2, since it is identical to MW1, and is severely lacking in any envelope pushing.

I think Batman should have won, it fits into their own criteria much more comfortably.

I don't think this is any more suspicious than the fact that the vast majority of reviews for the game on PC gave it well over a 90%. It's pretty obvious that doling out plenty of "marketing campaign" expenditures will result in at least "good" ratings these days. I can remember the days when pretty much any game that got such great reviews was assuredly worth buying. Not the case for at least the past 3 years.

However, in their defense, there weren't really any truly great shooters released in 2009.
