Ok,  I have a Digital video camera that I want to record bf2 with.  I have a x800xl pci-e with an s-video on the back.

My question,  what type of cord do I need to run from my svid on the card to my digicam?

Anyone here ever record with a digicam?  No one at any electronics stoerI go to has any fucking clue what im talking about.

Any help would be great.

Remember, you won't be able to see the image on your monitor while recording. While you can use clone on your desktop to output to two items at once (i.e. like a TV and a monitor), you can't do that for video playback or games.

Why not use fraps? You could then export it ?

OK,  I have fraps.... Fraps sucks.  Basically.  The newest version is fairly lag free,  but its not perfect.

Ive seen ingame footage recorded on a digicam before.  Im just not sure where to find a cable that goes from Svideo to 1394 or whatever is on this camera.

  Basically I want to hook up the cam,  hit record and kill people.  Then use the firewire cable to transfer back to the comp.  Its just like recording games with a vcr,  except the quality doesnt suck.

So,  anyone here ever record with a digicam?

i am not sure if you can record stuff by video in with camera...
you can do a telecine (record video with cam from tv) but this will result in poorer quality;
what i would do here (although i did not do it) connect your video out to your second pc with mpeg2 hardware encoding video card and record the game;
it makes no sense to record my games as i am a total noob and still waiting for my bf2 box (playing offline with a cd from mate, who is getting pissed )

OKAY.. i met a mate who is into footage...
he said that it depends on your cam if you can record INPUT video.
i got TWO digital camcorders, both do not support it...
