Whats up with my monitor?

ELITE-UK: Scratching my back; +170|6479|SHEFFIELD, ENGLAND

For the past week and a half or so, its started to flicker, from normal to lighter then darker...or it just flickers real fast.

And whenever i get flashbanged on a game, it flickers really badly!

I cant really describe it much better.

Is it on its last legs or is there a fixable solution?

If turn turn it off and immediately back on again does it still do that?

I thought that had something to do with your video card when it does that. I dont' know, I could be wrong but if your video card can't take something it might tend to flicker. For ex. flashbanged in game

My monitor is a Samsung 206BW 20' and my gfx card is a Nvidia GTX 260

Patch 1.5 seems to have caused a flashbang problem for a lot of people.
Otherwise:
Graphics card.
Bad connection.
Backlight dying.

would say dying lamp or power supply (for the monitor, of course)
