The first time I tried to attack them, somehow they managed to set both my dudes into stone and I was given a game over, all my magic attacks were useless because they were using "reflect" or something and even the GF attacks weren't doing any damage so I had to stick with regular attacks which didn't really work. These guys are annoying little bastards

Most Magic can't even be Junctioned until you train the GF to let it do so. What is this boost I don't even
I know but train the damn GF and then junction it rather than spend it all, besides there are some items which instantly teach GFs stuff.
Anyway Boost, look in the section that tells your GF what you want it to learn and look for the one that says boost. Once you learn boost, during the GF attack animation you can press select and boost the attack damage done by the GF by pressing Square over and over again but stopping when it tells you too.
It makes a big diferance when you get the GF Eden who if boosted right can do way over the max damage of 9999.
