Mining boom isn't over by the way although that's going to be an increasingly popular mantra. The RBA said the expect the mining boom to end sometime next year but it's a stab in the dark. Really though there has been a slow-down in infrastructure production in China meaning less demand for Australian resources. This has led the major mining companies to act conservatively in terms of building new long-term projects. That doesn't mean the boom is over, it may have peaked but it's not over yet.
