I don't know about this one. On a level I actually sympathise with Abbott for actually doing something about One Nation, but on another - is that really an appropriate use of your role as an elected representative to go after your political opponents like that?

It's not complicated. Abbott is alleged to have not acted with integrity. He should stand down whilst the investigation takes place, as is his want of others.

I don't think any of those prisoners got to have kids. Most people trace their ancestry to around 1900s when most of the brits and greeks came. My family was German and they got there around 1850s I think. But we had a family member who was involved in the eureka rebellion.Jay wrote:

My paternal great grandfather came over from France. Not many Americans can claim French ancestry. My maternal great grandmother was a member of Spanish aristocracy. Was disowned though.

Kerry is a bit of a special case. He is a direct descendant of Francis Marion. It is not like the place is or was filled Frenchies. I am not acting like it is a bit of nobility. It is just something that is cool and different. You seem to think I have a Lily bumper magnet. Or that Jay has a Swedish flag hanging out of his window. It is just stuff to talk about.
