Imagine what American would be like today if we didn't find this country till much later? I've always wondered, cause they seemed alot more in tune with nature.
It would've been conquered even quicker. Even if you waited until after Europeans adopted emancipation you're talking about almost modern rifles vs bows and arrows anyway. I'm sorry, but there's no country on earth that won't make a move on another country completely underutilizing it's resources. The midwest of America is ridiculously rich farmland and there was gold in california, north carolina and colorado etc etc etc. It's not like Native Americans have been quick to adopt to modern life or adopt new technology, most of them still live on reservations and revere their traditions and live on government assistance. I really can't feel bad for them and the people that put them up on a pedestal as something we should revere as a 'simple life' really are ignoring all the negatives.

Really? So you're saying that if a different man discovered America the results would've been markedly different? I mean Jamestown wasn't founded for another 130 years and Indians were still suceptible to European diseases and still fighting with bows and arrows vs firearms.
Where did I say that?  It is what it is - he initially brought the disease and paved the way for the implementation of the "white man's burden" policy in the Americas.

The Arawak population was already devastated by the time Jamestown was founded.  I think the number was something like 3 million Arawaks wiped out due to disease and warfare in the few decades after Columbus' first visit.  Can't remember the exact numbers.
So does it really matter who the person was that discovered America? Is there really any reason to revile the man? I'm thankful that he found the place. I like where I live.
He didn't discover it.  I like where I live too.  If a Norseman or other Euro or Asian explorer had done the same I'd probably be railing against him instead.  Sucks for Columbus.  Not really sure why he's held on a pedastal by us Americans.

Because he had the balls to do what others were afraid of. Gotta respect that.

He was a cruel, sadistic bastard that accidentally stumbled onto the Americas, and wasn't even the first one.

Hitler

A quote from The Dead Zone:
Dr. Sam Weizak: All right. All right. I'll give you an answer. I'm a man of medicine. I'm expected to save lives and ease suffering. I love people. Therefore, I would have no choice but to kill the son of a bitch.

IF AD is killed as a kid there would not be a National Socialist German Workers' Party. Karl Harrer would have stayed in charge of the German Workers Party (DAP). Harrer became the party's first chairman (adopting the title of "Reichsvorsitzender"); however, his plans to continue the DAP as a secret society similar to the Thule Society collided with Adolf Hitler's, who had also joined the party.
At a meeting of the Party in Munich in September 1919, the main speaker was Gottfried Feder. When he had finished speaking, a member of the audience stood up and suggested that Bavaria should break away from Prussia and form a separate nation with Austria. Adolf Hitler sprang up from the audience to rebut the argument. Drexler approached Hitler and thrust a booklet into his hand. It was entitled My Political Awakening and, according to Hitler's writing in Mein Kampf, which is Hitler's autobiography, it reflected much of what he had himself decided upon. Later the same day he received a postcard telling him that he had been accepted for membership of what was at that time the German Workers' Party. After some internal debate, he says, he decided to join.

If He's dead, he can't be at this meeting. Can't "spring up", get noticed, asked to join or take over the party.
The DAP would have gone the way of the Thule Society.
No National Socialist German Workers' Party.
No WW2. No A-bomb.

None of the above. Why not?

Hitler: See Command and Conquer: Red Alert for what happens.

Oppenheimer (since he created The Bomb): Mass warfare, bloodier end to WW2, and america would be on the back foot politically. The nuclear bomb brought PEACE.

Columbus: I love american fast food.

Who WOULD I kill?

Your mother, because you made this poll, and extinguishing you from existence would stop it.

Tony blair.

Gordon brown.

My father, as my life would be much easier without him popping up and being annoying, and I'd have his car and other assets upon returning.

Columbus is a good one

The death of Columbus might have delayed contact with the new world then there might have been a chance that europe would have taken care of its religious zealot problem instead of shipping them here.

Also, choosing to kill Hitler is a stupid decision.  If anyone, kill Gavrilo Princip.

Other: Lenin

While 1917 might have happened anyway, it was Lenin's personal interpretation that made it so fucked up.

How does anyone outside of slightly less than middle aged brits hate Margaret Thatcher? If you're from Finland what possible effect did she have on you that would warrant her death? Same with Blair, just to a lesser extent cause he's actually fairly recent.

Easy

Columbus of course ... if he was killed obviously there wouldn't be a North and South America as we know it today ... and that would again lead to the Atom bomb not being invented ... it would also have saved us from the great depression thus leaving Hitler without a Germany in economic ruins and he would have gone through history as a mediocre painter ...

Einstein invented the atom bomb.

If Columbus were dead all the crazies who left for America would have stayed, WW1 would have been a lot nastier and the Germans would probably have won. So Europe would now be dominated by nuclear-armed shouting Germans.

The Irish would have had nowhere to go during the potato famine so would have had to stay back and figure out what was up with their potatoes -> the Irish as a race would probably be smarter.

On the plus side the whole world would be metric by now.
