Why are you doing pyramid sets, strength training sets and hypertrophy sets in one regime? I've been over this a couple of time... It's not a good idea nor is it going to work.

Stick to one of the three for 4-6 weeks and then change to another regime. Don't chop and change during a workout.

Either do 3x12 all the way, or 5x5 or 12,10,8,8... but DO NOT do all of them in one workout.

Loosing weight, shouldn't you have some more cardio stuff somewhere in there? (running, swimming, cycling, etc)
Cardio only speedens up weight loss. Workouts are the ones that actually make you lose weight. You don't need much cardio to lose weight.

Yeah I know man I'll stick to one (probably pyramid sets) when I lose this weight. Right now I'm just trying to keep active and get toned, keep my current strength.

It doesn't matter what you're trying to do, you don't mix it up like you're doing. End of story. If you want to keep your current strength and get toned you don't do pyramid or strength, you want to be doing 3x12 sets.

I tend to disagree slightly.  I dont see how doing 3 sets 8-12 reps doesn't induce sacroplasmic muscle hypertrophy. Essentially in the same three sets as someone doing 3 x 10 someone doing 8-12 will accomplish 30 repetitions.  Then by adding a last set of six reps you jump the total number of reps to 36, again the same as if you were doing 3 x 12.  But here you are upping your weight each time and stressing the muscle more.

Back/Triceps workout today.

Still have some work to do on my back workout, it doesn't feel 'right' just yet, I'll give the workout I did earlier:

Core + back warmup (pullups)

3x12 Seated Row at 75% max + 1x12 'burn set' at 50%
3x12 Lat Pulldown at 75% max (Also did 2 sets of behind the head pulldowns, but aren't these essentially the same anyway?)
3x12 Seated Cable Rows at 75% max
4xMAX Pull ups to finish it off

That's it, and tbh I don't really have the feeling I worked my back extremely well, so yeah.. Loads of room for improvements I'm guessing.

Ha. Regardless of how I workout I'll improve slightly. Yeah there are ways that have proved to be better than others but right now I'm happy experimenting with different types. I know I won't see the actual difference after one workout change but I'll give it a go and if I like it I'll keep it for when I want to really gain muscle size/strength.

Suck Zimmers ass more please... I don't recall you posting a picture in here, so till you do and prove you know what your talking about shut the fuck.

lol, I just find it funny how you repeatedly ignore his advice.

I certainly don't think he knows everything on the subject, infact I disagree on quite a few things (I don't feel the need to have some kind of 'whos got the bigger dick' argument over it though), but he certainly knows more than you.

Considering Ive gained 3 stone and now weigh 90kg in the past 7 months I would say Ive had significantly more success than you...

Weighed myself in today, about 67kg after a workout. Means I'm on about the same weight as half a year ago, but with way more muscle mass.
Cool!

woohooo finally back in the gym. Don't have a clear cut plan yet, just building a base. Gonna sit down this weekend and try to put together a good plan. Only problem is it's been about 4 years and I forgot most of the names of the exercises and proper methods. Anybody got a link to a good site with all that?

Actually I was asking because I was hoping that someone would know a site with clear, concise info, rather than wading through pages of google crap, where half turn out to be some douche-bag trying to pedal their shitty routine for bucks.. Everyone knows google, I asked because I thought this was the work out thread and their would be a helpful answer.
