9% without visible abs eh?
I've been thinking about getting my BF% measured. I've always guessed myself at 11-ish % and i have visible abs so maybe i'm completely wrong.

I have stepped on a scale that told me my bf%, but that was a few years ago. I don't see how a machine with such a simple system could tell all that exact, but than again, technology can do some amazing things, although i do think yours may have been wrong here and there(regular sportpants and a shirt don't tend to weigh 3kg )

If you really want all that data checked correctly, i bet there's specialist for that kind of thing.

Thats the one i stood one 2-3 years ago. it said 11 or 10% back then, but i hadn't touched a single weight or anything.

Do you think its accurate?

height sex and age...

But how does that factor in with your BF%? those are such relative factors.

body fat percentage does not dictate whether your abs are visible

If it measures it purely based on weight, height sex and age its probably not super accurate, but i think that it a little more than just weigh.

Not entirely. (although i was always under the impression that it played a huge part in it)
Its just that it made me wonder about my BF%, and how much I lower (or higher) it might be.

i know my scalle doest work if you are not barefoot, so i think conductivity of your feet. but that is probably more for the water %

Dude are you kidding me? I'm fuckin terrible at eating correctly cause i'm a student. And I'm not referring to eating healthily, I mean eating at the rights times over the day instead of just gorging once or twice on anything. Worse yet, I'm SUPER poor so my caloric intake is likely WAY lower than it should be to build proper muscle. The period when i had some extra dough i did a small experiment and ate ALL the time, like i made sure I was full 100% of the time, even if I didn't want to. It lasted about 2 weeks (and so went my money...) but I put on so much muscle (and not fat, I'm one of those couldn't-get-fat-if-I-tried-but-also-can't-put-on-muscle guys).

I can't wait to make real money and go to the gym...
I feel you :'(

I'm home every second day or so so tomorrow I've got a lunchbox packed with some mashed potato, turkey, carrot, peas, and brocolli all mushed together with some black pepper and a pinch of salt.

Do you have access to a refrigerator and microwave?  If so, it's not too hard to bring healthy meals with you for a few days at a time.  I do it all the time (I work out of town for four days every week)...

From the article posted:

"Well, whether body fat scales measure your "true" body fat percentage or not doesn't matter! As long as they can accurately monitor changes in your body composition over time, that's all you need."

And that's what I'm planning on doing.. Stepping on that scale every X months to monitor changes

Genetics play a big role too, and ofcourse the muscle(mass) in that certain area.

Anyway, 140KG x 4 deadlift today, I'm happy 3 plates achieved!

Eat loads, loads and then some more.

Seriously, a few weeks ago, after my training I wonderded how I'll ever be able to lift more than that specific training.. I just went home and ate, loads. Just keep doing this and you'll be able to improve your lifts.

I went up 10 kgs (2.5 every week) on my deadlift. Gonna drop down a little bit, so I can maintain perfect form again
