Yeah, anything with whole grains. I just have plain rolled oats with a serving of whey protein powder and semi skim milk.
sounds tasty....
All that protein and fiber, you guys must be farting up something serious. .. I know I always do. They never smell though, which is disappointing.
You have to make a real effort to get the right amount of fiber in an American-on-the-go diet.

That's crazy. I don't know of anyone who farts less with the addition of fiber to their diet. It's a medical fact that most people must deal with .

I think cutting out a lot of beer and fast food has help my digestion no end
Beer makes me feel like hell.. and I just know i'll destroy a few toilets the day after. Tequila ftw. In moderation of course

but yeah i eat Grape Nuts and Raisin Bran cause I'm a big fan of cereal and going from Cinnamon Toast Crunch to the GoLean stuff was too much of a jump
I kinda alternate breakfasts from day to day. So the other one I usually have is three egg whites and one yolk with a bit of light cheese mixed together to make a slow cooked omelette, on a piece of wholegrain toast. I'll cook it in a little (roughly a tsp) of olive oil and put a little cracked pepper over the top. Pretty tasty, you can add all sorts of things too. Has a good amount of protein, some healthy fats and a decent portion of carbs to start the day with.
For lunch I'll sometimes have a turkey breast sandwich with tomato and low fat cheese. I used to add lettuce but I found I'd go through less than half a lettuce before it would get old and I'd have to throw it out.
For dinner I'll often have a medium rare steak (rib fillet as it's the second leanest the butcher sells, the leanest steak is an eye fillet, but it's almost $40 a kg) with steamed vegies and gravy. Tastes great, lots of protein and good nutrition and fibre from the vegies. The gravy has almost no carbs and fats, it's just the powder and water. You can cook up some onion in a little olive oil first for extra flavour, and I always put fresh cracked pepper on before eating.
Chicken is also an amazing protein source. Skinless chicken breasts are probably the best source of protein. I usually dice half of one up (depending on size), chuck it in a freezer bag with some burrito or taco seasoning, shake it well to cover the chicken pieces. Then fry in a non-stick pan with a little olive oil until cooked. Chuck it on some salad (I just use the pre-made mesclun salad from the supermarket as I can use up the whole bag before it goes off) and there you have it. Quick, easy, nutritious and tasty.

i need to graduate college and start my life. sounds more fun than "for dinner Ill often have... uh... 'HEY ROOMMATES! DID YOU THROW OUT THAT PIZZA FROM LAST WEEK YET?!?'"
lol
Chicken breasts are better though. With the above recipe, two breasts, a packet of salad and a packet of burrito seasoning will cost you easily under $15 and you can get 4 meals from it.

2 breasts = 4 meals that's gunna be like 60g of protein over 4 meals, ie nothing.
2 breasts = 1 meal you mean.

I used buy chicken breasts, but eating 2 to 3 big lumps of chicken became tiring. So now i buy these packets with basically chicken breast, but cut up into tiny strips/peices. That way its easier and quicker to bake and eat. I eat about 300g of that stuff everydayJaekus wrote:

You must buy small chicken breasts, or maybe mine are large. The ones I get anywhere around here (two different supermarkets and a butcher) are approx 330g each, so that's about 66 grams of protein in one breast.Vilham wrote:

That is an awfully big chicken breats. Mine are about 100g, so i eat 3. Eating more than 300g just doesn't seem right. In 1 meal that isJaekus wrote:

If I ate three it would be a kilo. Seriously, I buy three breasts and it is about $10, which is how much they are per kilo at the supermarket.
Make sure you get about 30g of protein every 3 hours and a few big meals that contain more.
sorry bro, didn't know your chicken breasts were 300g a piece. In that case, just stick to one per mealJaekus wrote:

I used to but it was too much sometimes. So now I eat about half. That's approx 30g in a meal, for half a 300g breast (bearing in mind chicken is about 20-22% protein by weight). I can see why you'd eat three at a time.
On college days I have a pint of water, small bowl of porridge (with honey) + 2 slices of toast with ham and tomato/jalapeƱo relish and of course a cup of tea (no sugar).
On normal days I just have porridge. I find if I eat a fuck lot before college I won't go buying shite in/around 1PM.

How many meals do you eat a day, and what do you eat?Jaekus wrote:

I never quite liked eating big meals (over ~800kcal) although i have gotten used to eating 3 of those a day. I prefer eating mutliple small meals/snacks to spreak the protein and energy throughout the day. It also allows me to getmore kcals in with my metabolism
