Man, last night was crazy.  I was vascular as fuck and had this ridiculous pump going.  Mind blowing lift.  It was shoulders day, my traps were all swollen up, delts super round and veins running down them through my arms more pronounced than most days.

Lol, I think I had the same man. I was flying through shoulders, using way more kg's than usual and form was still great. Even did squats after shoulders because I had the feeling I could keep on going. weird stuff

I do calf raises by standing on a box or off the edge of the step on the assisted pull-up machine and 'hanging' my heels off the back then raising up to tip-toes. Gets better range.
Good idea, thanks

Using a puny set of 5kg dumb bells atm, probably gonna get this

Fuck, VAT rises in January. Need to buy this + 2kg of ON

I've upped my range though, learning new dumb bell exercises and working a bigger variety of muscles now. Traps and Delts specifically
I'm only on 5kg myself (depends on exercise though, some are more obviously, like squats etc). I've gone up a little from what it was. Just takes time. I'm sure a year from now I'll be lifting quite a bit heavier

I haven't been really pushing my diet and things, but I have almost doubled a lot of my weights in about 9months.

Did someone slip in some extra creatine to your shakes when you weren't looking?

I'm not even using any kinds of shakes/creatine at the moment. I guess it was the music and the hot cardio bunny on the threadmill that motivated me ...

Chest and tris... my tris are fucked now. Someone suggested bench dips for tris, so I swapped out the seated tri presses. Much better

Hey, I've got a supplement question.

Today I received a bottle of 1000mg caps from eBay (Optimum Nutrition brand). Post workout I was making up my shake and took two caps, then I noticed on the side of the container of the protein I use (Musashi brand) it says it has a bunch of BCAAs in every serve - more than the caps do. Did I just waste my money on the caps?

just curious:

what's the best exercise you can do for your chest, using dumb-bells... without a bench? are they (m)any?

i can't fit a pull-up bar anywhere in my student house and want something else other than the daily push-ups

Couldn't you lie flat on the floor or something? Might lose some of the benefit you'd have on a real bench but as long as it works the chest muscles it should be fine, no?

Chest press. You can lay on the floor and do it. Not as effective without a bench as you can't get the full stretch, but better than nothing. Also flyes are great for the chest too. If you want to put extra work on the chest, don't bring the weights together at the top of the movement, leave at least a foot apart. Again, can be done on the floor but a bunch is better to get the lowest part of the movement for maximum tension on the chest.

You should be able to fit a pull up bar in any regular doorway. I just bought one last week.

yeah i can't because we have old fashioned wooden doorframes here and if i even damaged the paint the landlord/estate agent would kick my ass. also my bedroom is the first room on the ground-floor directly opening from the side of the front-door, and i generally don't want to be working out right in front of other housemates/guests as they walk into the house. not so

Yeah, I'm with you. I live in sharehouse and I always close my door when I do my ab exercises. Even though we're all mates, I'd rather do it in private until I'm ripped. Then I can show off

Not really. Unfortunately for chest the best exercises are on the bench.

Press ups are your best choice, you might want to look into getting this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Perfect-Pushup- … B000KDM3BG

I've heard good things about it and it will keep your press up technique appropriate. Just alternate from close handed press ups, wide handed and normal press ups. That should be enough to work the chest enough for noticeable difference.

Do loads of press ups, or push ups, whatever you call them, too. There's loads of variations to them.

Well Azim already said it

Does anyone on here use Jefit app for Android? I'm sure someone mentioned it.

If so what do you think about it, and are any of the included routines good?

I use it, never heard of included routines though. Are you sure they are in the program, can't find them

About the program; it's awesome, great tool for pushing me and making me work harder
