A guide to you snipers out there, If you see three enemies, one is sprinting, one is walking, and one just went prone, which one do you go for?
Some would say you should go for the one prone, and get the kill quick. I would have to say to go for the one who is walking, since he would probably sprint away, and if he is partially damaged ~5 dmg, then instand death for them. Then finish off the prone one, Or, if you are point hungry, go for the prone.
M24- In My personal opinion, the best sniper rifle in the game, This gun has 6 clips, with 5 shots each. Each bullet does 95 damage to the person who catches it. Like any other sniper rifle, one hit to head, one dead.
The M24 looks good too, not too many cons about it, only thing is the glitch that has it keep reloading over and over again. The smaller crosshairs make it more suited for long range shots( those where you can barely see the person ).This doesnt mean you cannot use it in medium and short ranges. One thing I have noticed, there is always a city background in the scopes reflection, a cool little easter egg in BF2, one might say. I like the undistinct sound of it too, I have been sniped by these before, and I cannot hear the rifle, even when I am at a normal sniping distance. This rifle does not really suffer from harsh bullet loss
M95- This is the second choice, for USMC, but for those who want a quick kill one PLA or MEC, use this. Like the M24, it has 5 shots, and 6 clips. It is better for a shorter to medium sniping range. The M95, as many knows, has the ability to shoot through Jet glass, Helo Glass, and the windshield of a transport vehicle. I like it.. But like wiki says, it is better for the PLA and MEC snipers. I would rather use the SVD an Type 88. 95 damage a shot isnt that bad. The only drawback to this gun is the fat crosshairs. This has HORRIBLE bullet drop.
SVD- Wow, what a great gun, most hate it, because they cannot understand the crosshairs, well that is their problem. You can align a headshot with ease at ANY range with this rifle. The SVD does roughly 40 damage a shot, taking three shots to any part of the body ( excluding head-where only one is needed), to take down your enemy. I find this rifle good on karkand, when there is a tank owning your teamates, you can reduce some guys Kill assist points by shooting him in the head with ease there. This rifle is a good match for the M24, and most overlook it.
Type 88- I have maybe a couple of online hours testing with this gun, but I have used it for over 5 hours in single player mode, I have learned the trick to it, the first two shots, when fired off with short intervals, hit in the same place, with ~6 inch accuracy. Then wait for a half second, reaim, and POW, take the USMC man out.
This sniper rifle, looks the coolest, and has the thinnest crosshairs, making it a very nice rifle.
---SNIPING---
Moving targets!
++++++sprinting soliders-Do not attempt, you will only reduce your accuracy rating. Only luck, and a proper leading distance is needed. The leading distance varies on A, uphill/downhill, B, Direction, C, if their sprint will run out before your bullet gets to them. Other than that, it is luck.
++++++Regular walking soldiers- Attempt them, I always do, you dont need to lead them that much, if you aim for the side closest to you, you will normally hit them. If not, try again, and lead a tiny bit, AIM FOR THE CHEST!!!!!! If you aim for the head, you will most likely not get the kill. Usually, if they are just walking, they will go prone or crouch soon.
BULLET DROP
There is little bullet drop in the M24, SVD, and Type 88.
There is ALOT in the M95, I don't like it because of that. I have experienced that many times, and then I have seen many videos of how much drop there is, Usually go up 2 or 3 notches on the vertical axes on the crosshairs, but only when you are seeing them from a far distance, where there is a very sketchy figure seen. Usually, you cannot see your subject because of the fat crosshairs.
Comment on it- tell me what you want answers to, I will edit it, and add them.
