rollerblades are so much sexier than skis. here's my current selection:
love 'em all. each pair has frames/wheels/anti-rockers/bearings of course. but that's all replacable. each pair have a different style, fit and generally a different purpose. i definitely understand the fascination with sexy toys like skis.

I need to get myself some twin tips tbh. Have been using club skis (uni club) but they're kinda battered.
I don't actually know anything about buying skis, though ...

Anyways, what's with the rollerblades without wheels?
Ya. These are my first pair of twin tips. My last skis were on old Solomon ski. I was fine with them tell last season when me and my brother started doing some "tricks". There was this one time coming off the chairlift heading down the run that follows the chairlift and I tried doing a 540 and my ski dug into the snow, I wiped out pretty hard. People where laughing at me and the ski patrol girl (very hot) came up to me to ask if I was ok. Very embarrassing.liquidat0r wrote:

That's when I decided I needed some twin tips.
you buy top-level skates as just boots. the frames and wheels come with a USD (universal skate design), so you can swap out the wheels/frames/bearings according to what size/speed/feel you want. and how the hell are any of the above designs 80's? hahaha. the blue Valos are gorgeous- it's dyed snakeskin - and they're total eyecatchers. most skates are black/grey/white, so the electric blue look is definitely a killer!

I has:
K2 Public Enemy
Zag Gold (shared with my Dad. Fucking brilliant skis, hand made. I think they're called "Heli Gold" now, not sure though)
Atomic GS12 Racing (Pro model)
Also have my Dad's SL11's and SG11's (he's upgraded to SL12 and SG12), but I rarely use them.
EDIT: Low lighting sucks.

wait. you have a sofa but you dont have a double-bed?
double-bed > single-bed+sofa.
@ski-ers: i just remembered that 2 of my earliest pairs of skates were K2's and Salos. forgot they were like the top-business in skis. they're not quite so popular in skating. still solid stuff though!

Besides, a double bed would swamp this room. I'm amazed you didn't say something critical actually.
it's your pad man. no point in me being critical... you're the one that lives/sleeps in it.
plus i have a dark-red coloured paint-scheme going on in my room as well, sex-style. a tad shade lighter than your chair. it's a good look. bold.

If you can ice skate you shouldn't have a problem roller blading really. Usually it's the otherway round.liquidat0r wrote:
I should try roller-blading some day ... seeing as I can surf, ski, snowboard and ice skate.
Yea.. rollerblading was a cinch. I actually played in a street hockey league a few years ago .Mekstizzle wrote:

If you haven't roller-bladed/ice skated in awhile it takes a little bit for you feet and ankles to adjust. They ache after a few hours.

shiyeet i love rolling around, it chills me out, but the rollerblade-based sports havent got anything on the actual culture. i guess it used to be called 'aggressive' inline, to draw a distinction - back then in that early 2000's era when everything was XTREME or HARDC0RE or PRO or GEN-X or AGGRESSIVE or some shit.

Just looking at that gear makes me want to take up rollerblading again, after all these years, and after quitting before actually learning anything. But then again, I'm getting too old to learn tricks, so it would be wasted on me. I envy people who have started early enough.Uzique wrote:

On another note:
Just wanted to share my stuff, as you did with yours, IYKWIM I'll stick to cruisin' 'n surfin'. For a longboard it's really short (89cm), but it's easy to carry around when needed, so it's a compromise board, kind of a hybrid between a speedboard and a cruiser.
I'll let you carry on now with talking about sports I suck at, and which you do well..
I need around tree fiddy.
i thought it was kinda short for a 'longboard!' ive cruised on one before, they're nice! beautifullll!
this is my brand/team now. their aesthetic is top-notch. basically they design rollerblades to be as close to comfortable (and fashionable) footwear as possible. see my top-pair of skates, my sexy blue broskies!

Jesus Christ that's good. I.. ..could.. ..never do anything like that.
Is it wrong to have a boner now?
P.S: About the board, homemade ftw.
