Ah, when I was doing logic (for programming structures) I had to deal with A --> B (A therfore B), subsets A ⊂ B and B ⊃ C and it looked similar to those equations.
Don't you get lectures repeated? Most of my lectures had morning/night sessions which was pretty good. If you wtf the first time round you could sit through the replay lecture and wtf all over again.

My courses make every attempt to keep the average as low as possible. Usually it's done by posting lecture slides with only bullet point topic sentences online, and making sure each meeting section of the course (if there is more than 1) covers different material at different times.
