The ROE has made this whole site anarchy. I believe in some rules (no banning for stupid reasons, don't TK), but some are dumb. Two people Vengance and some other person were reset for "Blackhawking"(or something like that) which was perfectly legal at that time. That is dumb, and they should have their stats returned.

Are you serious? Someone gets whiped for capping flags? Please tell me it ain't so.

I'm new here but I thought capping flags helps the team win the game sometimes. Capping flags is the BF2 equivalent of real world capturing or destroying enemy Logistics Release Points or Forward Support Bases.

Edit: I don't get it... what exactly are you supposed to use the 3 rear slots in a blackhawk for, transport only? If so, why are they open so you can "chunk" C4 out or use the wrench? Is it ok to resupply people throwing grenades and mines, but not C4? Is it not ok to resupply anyone in a chopper? Under the same logic, is it then also not ok to be a medic inside a Blackhawk? And is using C4 in a Blackhawk ok so long as you don't resupply? Or perhaps, only resupply upon landing? What if you get resupplied by hovering over a supply crate instead of with the support class? Perhaps EA needs to rethink how the Support class works if it's going to even consider limiting gameplay in this fashion?

Even if you follow the ROE, you stand a chance of being reset for no reason!! EA sucks and will never, ever get another cent from me.

Screw the ROE.

I'll repair anything i want, when i want. I'll resupply anyone i want, when i want. I'll use any weapon i have available, including c4 and grenades, as often as i want and wherever i want. I'll use whatever vehicle i choose to take a flag, including helis and jets. I'll use any vehicle i want as commander while still replying to my team's uav/arty/supply requests (albeit maybe not on the front line areas of battle). I will destroy any friendly vehicle i want in order to a) keep it out of enemy hands b) have it respawn where another teammate can use it.

So long as it's not cheating/hacking/glitching/padding and doable in game, i will do it. I paid for the game and i get to decide how to play it. If EA doesn't want people dooing the above then they need to change the coding for the game they made. If they're too lazy to change the coding and make proper patches, then why should i follow the bs ROE.

And what about people who played on Infantry only servers and had their stats wiped? These people have led to the new server-side option being introduced in 1.4 and should be hailed as innovators, not denounced as criminals.

Give them their stats back!

Before you start writing stupid shit to benefit yourself, actually consider its a game.

Things to not be legally bound are:

§ Infantry only Servers --- Speaks for itself-- need to rewrite.

§1.7 Server administrators may not use non-standard (custom map packs) maps or modified versions of standard maps.----does Colin Clarke aware of this??!! Mods are the best things going right now-- another stupid rule. need to rewrite.

§ Though it is not required, EA requests that all servers run Friendly Fire at 100% for all settings, including mines (sv.friendlyFireWithMines). ---OMIT

§ Artillery fire or bombing runs on main (uncapturable) bases may be prohibited.---OMIT, its war, stfu.
§ Prolonged or sustained attacks on main (uncapturable) bases (i.e. spawncamping). ---OMIT, its war, stfu. 99.9% of people do this.

§ Using the Transport Helicopters to take flags (Blackhawk whoring or flag hopping). ---OMIT, old, people do it, get over it.

§ Using C4 on jeeps, or other fast moving vehicles to take out other vehicles. ---seems to benefit the ROE people writing this as they are all in tanks, fuck you, Im Derka, Derka'ing your ass.

Seems your ROE needs some major rewriting if you ask me, if you need help just ask, maybe you should run a "BETA" version of your ROE.

indianscout is it the duty of every bf2-player to go in forums and check out some rules? why isn't anything said about the r.o.e. in the eula or the bf2 manual? even in the sf manual is nothing written about roe. from where should i know about the ******* roe??? there were never any ingame announcment of the roe, so why can you resett for that?
