Well, it looks like it's going to hit Baja California before it hits the mainland, so it should weaken and not absolutely trash the mainland. I doubt it will be Katrina-esque as most of Mexico is actually built above sea level, unlike New Orleans.
Honestly though, I hope some of the aftermath of the storm makes it up to Texas, we could use the rain.
