One of my friends from high school got arrested for marijuana possession with intent to distribute within a thousand feet of a school. Not the worst charge in the world but they hit him with 10 counts of attempted burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of unlawful weapon, possession of heroin, and possession of prescription medication at the same time.

Really nice dude but holy shit are they going to put the guy under the jail. Which is why nothing good ever comes from dealing with H.
The guy got arrested again I guess while on bail for trying to cash stolen checks worth more than $5000. He stole them from a business.

So they hit him with another count of burglary, as well as multiple charges related to trying to cash the bad checks.

I don't expect to hear from him for a long time.

The NJ legislature votes on recreational marijuana tomorrow. It could go either way.

The NJ black caucus opposes the legalization of marijuana because they believe it will hurt their community. So if you see me going off about black people tomorrow, you know why.

you've got to change your patterns of behaviour and adjust what you do on your work holidays. that's the problem more than the drug -- the lack of imagination about what to do in your spare time. you should have booked a train/bus ticket somewhere when you booked that time off, gone and explored somewhere, taken a walk, etc. devil makes work for idle hands, finlay.

yeah totally agree, you're spot on. I do/did fuck all. Work, home, smoke, game, bed. Work, home, smoke, game, bed. I was trapped in a loop, I'd have barely enough cash to cover my habit which helped relieve the stress of working shitty customer facing jobs, but none after that, which meant I could do nothing else, which added to the depression, which made me smoke more... vicious circle. Cutting the shit out and getting clean is the first step, then I'll have money to do things and time to spend doing things, instead of wasting away getting stoned.

spend some of that first paycheque on a new running outfit, with some nice shoes. it'll only be a little more in outlay than your average monthly weed budget (making weed an unaffordable luxury sounds like a good idea). every time you feel the boredom creeping over you, force yourself to put on those fancy new shoes and go for a walk/run. you'll get the same buzz and mental excitement out of it, and, after a few weeks of unpleasantness and forced-discipline, you'll feel a lot better and will have diverted your restless craving onto something else.

i speak from sage experience my dude. although not literally. weed is a complete and anti-social waste of time. lmao.

I actually already have a running kit, and I don't think I could spend £300 on one, but I'll easily spend that on a months weed.

funny, because I got into smoking purely in a social setting

but yes, I am going to do the gym thing, I want to also do some martial art of some description. get swole and learn to punch people. and to keep the excitement of self-destruction I'm gonna get a motorbike (don't worry I'm on the doner list)

I don't know how you guys get withdrawal symptoms from not smoking pot. I have never had withdrawal sickness. Like what is wrong with your bodies?

the only time i've ever felt withdrawal symptoms from anything was when i stopped drinking and taking anything altogether and just went sober for 3 months (just to exercise some willpower, fyi dear reader, not because i was in some programme or whatever-the-fuck). the first fortnight i had disturbed sleep and night sweats. apparently alcohol even in small amounts interferes with sleep cycles and restfulness. the rest was probably down to my brain replenishing all the dopamine i'd been splurging. it's that same sort of soggy dreaminess you feel when you take anti-depressants, or come off them, and your brain starts sorting through the serotonin stock.

There's a difference between smoking some pot and abusing it religiously for years at > gram a day. Your body gets used to it, then you take it away, it takes a bit to get back in the swing of things. Its not like coming off smack, very light withdrawals by comparison, but when you're used to smoking yourself into unconsciousness, getting to sleep naturally is difficult.

I don't know maybe I do get it. I am fighting an intense urge to buy a bottle of red wine after work and have a glass. It would be my fifth bottle this month.

OMG FIVE!!! bottles of wine?!?! Not only a middle class lifestyle, but the classic idea of a middle aged teacher.  All you need to add is some lithium or xanax.

Irish Cream? Absolutely not. It's a mixer. That's like asking me if I like margarita mix. Surely not on it's own.

I like to drink it with milk. I drink my wine with grape juice. I am not an inventive person.

baileys and cream liqueurs are there for grandparents. they are occasionally handed out to toddlers on special family occasions because they are so rich and sweet-tasting. i have never seen a young person drink one out of choice in a bar.

had my first dream. dreamt I woke up, skinned up a doob, got halfway through smoking it before I realised what I was doing. Didn't realise I was dreaming. Was very confused as to how this marijuana came into my possession. Then woke up with a sigh of relief.
