There are some professional bums in Manhattan that make a middle class income begging on the street. They commute into the city every day and then sit on a street corner with a cup and a sob story.

If you are someone that actually has to work alot to get not alot of money then yeah you have a right to be angry at some bum, and of course to become an MMA fighter you still need to work hard, but they get shitloads of cash way out of proportion with everyone else. He could've spared the change.
I never give money to bums. But if I was a sports star on a typical sports star salary, I probably would. It's also good for your image. Well, maybe as an MMA fighter you want to give off more of an image of some hardcore guy who doesn't brake for kittens and shit to appeal to the fans more. It's all part of business really.
