He can't beat himself up too bad. It was a bouncer, which he's probably bowled hundreds of before, and Hughes just played a bad shot when he shouldn't have. It's noones fault. It was an accident. Apparently Abbott is doing ok though.
An umpire has died in Israel from a shot deflected off the stumps into his neck.

So yeah. World Cup's on at the moment. I'm heading to the stadium after work to watch NZ vs. England. Currently 84 for 3 in the 21st over.
Edit: Well that was interesting. I left work to walk to the stadium, (about a 15 minute walk away,) at two hours after the match started at 4pm. England were 105-5. When I got to the stadium they were 123-9. Took my seat as the final wicket fell. Sat back and watched Brendon McCullum smack 77 off 25 balls to help bring up a victory for New Zealand in under 13 overs.
That was absolute slaughter.

England have certainly sucked for a few years now. A combination of some players being past it and shit coaching I think.

Knock-out rounds ahoy, (finally.) Hope NZ doesn't have to play Australia again, I don't think they'd let us get away with it a second time. Be nice to get to the final this time too. I'm happy with the team's performance regardless of where they come but they've given us hope for a World Cup win which would have been unheard of even a year ago so I dare dream.

It looks like the corner of the bat is on the ground but arguably the bat was bounching upwards. May be an unlucky shadow. Either way Jordan is in a weak position here and it was perfectly reasonable for the umpire to call this as out. The bouncing bat issue's been one for a couple of teams and it might result in a law change one of these days.

What an absolutely incredible match. Haven't felt like that since the 2011 Rugby World Cup Final. Except with that we were expected to win.
