Honestly "car brand" doesn't even come to mind when you say Saturn. You tried, you failed, other companies will pick up what little slack you left.

But the commerical with the kind looking black male, stateing that saturn has pumped out 4 new cars in the past 7 years and aren't going anywhere. Was he lieing to me?

Yeah I did.. Well that's great so basically they're going to still be producing cars, but they're going to end up like those KIA's where Kia new they were going out of bussiness so they started that buy one get one free... The second car was a parts car, lol.

Also recently they've lost a huge stake in Opel/Vauxhall but they still fall under the GM brand. Also, initially Opel and Vauxhall were independent manufacturers. Just that GM bought them during the 1920's and then basically made it so both of them make the same vehicles.

I hate the way GM does business. Selling the same cars around the world under different marquees after initially buying out those independent companies, just so they have an established brand in that country so that they could then sell their cars with that brand. I know there's nothing really wrong with it, I just think it's lame and misleading.

And it's the floor sweepers fault the company collapsed.

Yes, bullshit union demands and artifically inflated  worth, coupled with mis management who allowed themselves to be hel hostage by union tactics along with building an inferior product for an over inflated price tag drove them out of business.


I do not buy into this buy AMerican crap. Buy what is the best value and best quality for the money. American car companies relied on patriotism instead of competition far too much to puch their crap. It no longer worked and they could not adapt.
