So right now in the beautiful state of New Jersey every ones property taxes have gone up. Most townships are scrabbling to re asses homes and Fulfill their budgets due to property taxes going unpaid due to foreclosure or nonpayment..

Now here's the downward spiral, instead of lowering taxes and getting those vacant homes sold they're being short sighed raising taxes and probably going to push more people into foreclosure.. Hmmm then with more vacant homes and less taxes paid they're going to have to raise taxes again..

Also the fines in for traffic and other infractions are getting out of control as well. How the hell do we stop this, our large government is bankrupting the common people and themselves.

I'm afraid that they will take and take until everything really is broken. At that point it can be rebuilt and rethunk.

They will tax and borrow until they are forced to stop.

Imagine a great meat grinder. Into it is fed dreams, ambition and people. Out comes money.

We are nothing more that a product or commodity to the government.

One of the most counter productive part of the New "Job" creating part is that they're government jobs that are going to put more strain on private jobs.. It's really turning 1984 and we're all going to end up being Proles.

Destroy the teachers, police, local government and fire unions and tell them all to take a pay cut until funds come back up. Good luck

Well if there aren't as many people living in the area we don't need as many of those? You can continue to pay people if the population doesn't dictate it?

That's the whole point. They aren't as needed but good luck trying to lower salaries or fire people when they're all union. Why they let people who require tax money to fund their job to unionize is beyond me.

I just read an article here in MN where the local city was freezing pay on the non-union members and paying the union members a 3.5% increase.  Meanwhile they are trying to overcome budget deficits by putting people on furloughs every so often.  I love unions.
