Almost chopped the wood myself this morning as it happens, I woke up and I had a right angry cock going on. It was well nasty. Took me 10 mins of thinking about Maggie Thatcher just to get the fucker down as I was dying for a fag. Im not walking round my house with a fucking boner when my housemates are in.DonFck wrote:
We have hills, but they tend to end in busy intersections. We do them too, and it's awesome to go 30-40 kph down a hill, over a bridge and carve the center lines. Wheee! We were along the river that runs across town, but there are some small hills on both sides. You don't need much of a hill on a longboard to get your adrenaline on, though. With decent bearings and wheels it feels like there's no friction and you're accelerating in a 0.5 degree slope.1927 wrote:
I did see you do some slaloming (thanks for the SP) I suppose cos of the size of your board you cant do an 'Ollie' or any of them spinning things, 360's and what not? Its a shame that that place seems so flat, it looks like your down the docks area. Must be good to go 'weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee' down some big hill? We have a docks area but if I went skateboarding there I would end up getting tangled in condoms and mugged by Somalian gentlemen.DonFck wrote:
It was actually evening, maybe 7PM. The sun goes down early now. And I'm at work during sunlight-hours. A week ago we were out rolling friday night at 1AM for some slaloming around the drunks, though. It's a 24/7-kind of thing, as long as the tarmac's dry.
A baraclava is what you put over ya head if you want to rob a bank or have suprise sex with a woman. Some people use tights (non crotchless of course) some use Bara's.
Longboards have their own tricks, none of which I have even tried yet. There's "chopping the wood", the "old school ollie", "cross-stepping" etc. I think I could try chopping the wood today..
Will you do some tricks and come back and show us please? Id be interested to see how you progress in this new sport/hobby of yours.
