Still very annoyed with that stripped wireless card screw, I've been a lot less in love with this Tablet/Laptop ever since that happened, now I can't install a the Wireless N card I got for it and it's stuck with shitty G. I have no idea how to get it out though other than the rubber band pressure trick and I don't think that's gonna work. And I don't want to drill through it because it might come out of the other side of the computer after I get through the screw
Edit: My dad saved the day by dremeling a flathead slot in the screw and it came right out now I FINALLY have Wireless N on this

I guess we'll have to wait till next generation to be ready for 4Kx2K TVs(by then they'll be out and affordable probably)
where was this tech when we were playing goldeneye on the 64

I recall seeing a trick that one can do with 3D TVs that only requires a bit of DIY work with the glasses in order to achieve the same effect.
While 4K is new, Simulview has been around for awhile. I have two of these:

It's a good idea. We used to link the PS2 together and play on two tvs. I thought it would be nice if the game system had two (or more) tv outputs.
I dont really care for 3d, but I havent checked out the newer stuff. Games might be pretty cool if it looks really good and the glasses dont suck or give you a headache.
Is 3D gaming any good?Ilocano wrote:

im waiting for auto-stereoscopic 3D before i'd ever buy a 3D tv. glasses are so cumbersome and ridiculous, plus most movie 3D content is post-processing so it looks shitty
Yeah, one that several people can watch simultaneously.Winston_Churchill wrote:

Indeed.Winston_Churchill wrote:

Those movies are more like pop-up book puppetshows.
If it's not filmed with an IMAX camera (or something similar), most movies look completely crap.
The only exception are CGI movies.
512GB model was delayed so got these instead:
2x 256GB Samsung 840 PRO SSD
3TB WD RED HDD
And now to install that dreadful Win8 Pro x64

No Win7 copies lying around?
Got one but I will try at least this one time W8 on my main desktop. Coupled with Start8...bugz wrote:

Already have W8 on my laptop because it was so damn cheap (=free).

Ahh ok.
My vertex 2 with 55GB of available space is starting to look pretty sad compared to more recent SSDs. Time for an upgrade soon I think.

I use an Agility 3 of the same size in my laptop(or I will when I put it back in, that's my W7 drive), the speed is adequate because there's only a SATA II port in it anyway but I would love to have more space obviously. I'll probably get a 128 for it, it's not a very good gaming laptop so I don't plan on storing huge amounts of files on it
Kensington PK1100U
Looking to replace this thing due to a loose wire that I don't want to fix. Looking for as close to the shape and layout as I can get. Not interested in ergonomics or bowl-shaped surfaces. Interested in macro keys. Key depression must be firm and have depth. Wired is an absolute must. Experience with products suggested preferred.
So, any suggestions?
No Macros but keys are firm (not a whole lot of depth though).
Quite, small, cheap.

Ain't going driving anywhere today on this oxycodone unless I call a cab. Took one on an empty stomach this morning while I was busy with other stuff. Bad idea. Dizziness almost floored me. Magnetized me to my seat for fifteen minutes.pirana6 wrote:

magnets - how do they work?
Pro tip: never take a cab on a empty stomach.

Are you considering a mechanical one at all?
Well there's always the DAS keyboards, but $120. *whistles*
