my dad used to use internet explorer because "it displays web-pages, what more do you want from a browser?"
Well, here's the thing Finray, you're the kind of basement dweller that sings the praises of stuff like OpenOffice and actually believes that it is better than MS Excel when you, like all of the other basement dwellers that spend their days on computers instead of earning money so they can actually buy stuff, only hold that opinion because it is free and you are too poor to buy it. So whenever you have an opinion on a subject I'll give you a nice pat on the head if you like, but I'd prefer it if you kept your trap shut. You'll never earn style points with me by shopping at the thrift store and trying to pass it off as the latest fashion.
Good God you're a bitter [strike]little[/strike] fat man. I use OpenOffice, because I can't afford to buy Microsoft Office, yet I have a job. Office is too expensive for me, OpenOffice suits my needs. Do I feel the need to to pay however much it is? Looks to be about £85 for a student here. No, I don't.
Actually. I can get Access, Project, Visio, OneNote 2010 for free. But I don't need them.
OpenOffice's word processor is enough for me. Much like you're default-mobile-browser argument "It doesn't need to do anything more than allow reading of web pages on the go". OpenOffice's word processor does nothing more than allow typing of characters on my computer.
So, now that I've put you in your (rather large) place, why do you insist on just having a pop at people, including finray, for absolutely nothing? You just turned and went hostile on him without provocation.
for a fatty you're a serious intellectual lightweight.
