yeah it is... but effort to reload it. i'm just lazy. you should see my gf's (standard white) macbook. she never closes a tab or window she gets linked on facebook/youtube... until she shuts it down. absolute madness on that spec.

Also dunno what's wrong with your computer, but I've just opened 15 tabs with youtube videos and a video open full screen on my other monitor and it's running fine.

haven't upped it in ages but should be enough. good point, i'll do that now. i always jump to criticize my HDD because it's the weak-point in my set-up right now, all considering. just haven't wanted to make the jump to SSD yet. maybe my addiction to multi-tab anal porn will change this.

recommendations for a keyboard? my fixed g11 finally kicked the bucket

this cherry is a cheap-o replacement but doesn't hold its own during gaming at all

considering a mechanical but unsure. this cherry is quiet if I ever need to keep it down

You'd notice a larger increase in performance by adding either another 4GB of RAM or 2GB. I do the same as you do, whilst running PS, AI, and various other apps, and when I check memory usage I barely have 50MB left on the 6GB I'm currently running. My drive access is still at minimal though, that's only really when accessing stuff on your file system. I need another 6GB, so I'd assume you need 2GB or 4GB to stop that from stuttering and being a PITA.

I've got the Microsoft Sidewinder X4. It's a cheap but nice gaming keyboard. Doesn't have a whole lot of bells and whistles aside from the macro keys (that I only use outside of games), but it works great.

Damn, the hell are you doing? I run 2-3 games, opera with 5-8 tabs, photoshop and sony vegas is open all the time, and I'm barely using up my 4GB.

avoid if you want to do any typing / anything other than fps gaming. the cherry mx blacks are the cheapest option but bottom out immediately and are very tough/uncomfortable to use for sustained periods.

For peripherals i tend to always go logitech.

Quality-wise i've never had an issue. I'm still using my G15 now 4 years on, no issues.

Same applies for my MX518~

My G35 did break on the side, but only from constant dropping from being caught in my chair- to which the new one is wireless. ~not dropping 2 weeks pay onto one though just cause.

...i do need a new mouse though, maybe, idk. lol

yeah i am in almost exactly the same boat as tazz

my old G15 was working fine for years until i spilled pear cider over it, then it stopped working which is fair enough i suppose

i do feel like getting a new mouse soon though, i've had this G7 for 6 years

I'm not sure what to get... (it has to be wireless)
