Is there a way to manage a zune device without the zune software (Mediamonkey or MusicBee)? I found one of my original zunes, but I really don't like the zune software. zAlternator wont work with zune 3.0 and up.
I thought the original Zune software is pretty good. As far as I know, there is no other alternative.
Yea MS closed down the work around. Probably for drm reasons. The zune software is perfectly functional for getting the music on the player. I find mm and music bee better organizers though. Especially if you're missing tags. MS also took away the ability to skin the software. I know that is just a cosmetic issue, but I
personally liked that ability.

Shame. I really liked the 80 giger on the left. I actually bought a 4th one, a mini, but gave it to my nephew when I started using my phone.
The problem I find with phones as a music player is when you get 2k+ songs on them. They just aren't as responsive as a dedicated music device. At least not currently.
