Marketing also has to do with product development and product research. There is obviously a market for it, otherwise it wouldn't exist. There has always been a tablet PC market, the problem is that Microsoft could never perfect it and the technology always remained ungainly. The hardware was large and clumsy whenever you needed something with any discernible horsepower.

All I'm saying is, if you want to have a quick browse on the internet, surely you don't need more than a smartphone, and I'd say the iPhone 4 is one of the best in that area, but if you wanted something more, surely you'd want a physical keyboard, ergo, netbook/laptop. People who want something in-between just have too much money and want a gadget.

That's all it is. A gadget. Not a legitimate advancement in technology, not a replacement for a laptop. A gadget.

People/companies create things where there is no market, then they create a market for them. In fact you could make an argument that Apple created the market for small, mobile tablets.

Peformace:
Across all resolutions the 580 performs 10% better than the 480.

Small advancements I know, not worth upgrading from one to the other but necessary all the same.

For some reason or another, some applications have decided to use different sound .. idk, paths than they're used to

Opera, MSN and a few others are trying to put sound through the bottom one on that list, when they should be going through Speakers. Disabling the other sound devices just makes the applications crash on startup. Wat do?

Yeah I believe the next CPUs to come out will be the High end Sandy Bridge CPUs (i7) and they will be socket 2011.

Not sure on PCI-E 3 but i've heard reports of Q3 this year, not sure on that though.
