saitek make shitty peripherals. low quality. tacky. all appearance and no substance. i had a joystick and 2 keyboards from them. felt like the Fisher-Price of computer peripherals: pretty, bright lights, no quality. felt like it was the sort of computer keyboard you'd buy if you went into toys'r'us to get one. same with that cyborg mouse. looks like a merchandise item for new terminators film or some shit. there is no way that crap is useful.

It's considerably more than 2k songs.
Those 2 are my main folders. About 10 weeks of continuous music. Only stuff I like and listen to on a daily basis. I'm one of those people that only has complete albums. From most artists I even have all their works. And yes, I've listened to all of it. There's hardly a song that don't have a play count below 3. Those play counts reset after reformatting and such too.
I don't see the difference between home and "on the go" music listening. My taste doesn't chance the moment I leave my place. Sure, listening through a proper stereo is nicer, but with decent headphones mobile music can sound nearly as good.
I hate to change the music on my MP3 player from day to day. I don't know what I'll listen to in 5 minutes, never mind in a couple of days. One moment I'm listening to some Chopin, the next I feel like some death metal.
/rant. It seems I'm the only one who wants all their music on them all the time

True that. If only there was a decent 5'' tablet with a 2.5'' HDD. I could carry all my music and a couple of TV shows. Maybe even a selection of pictures. Built in phone would be sweet too. What am I gonna do with all those crap phones with 2GB + microSD?GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
i agree with this statement.Uzique wrote:

<3 always.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Freezer what happened to that thread on /g/ about you, I had to leave to go to a job interview.
Nothing much. There were about two more posts in it after yours.Finray wrote:

I've had a Saitek Eclipse II for 2 or 3 years now and it hasn't given me any problems. The lights to come in handy sometimes, though I would prefer them to be a simple white instead of blue or red. I will also admit that the looks are not my taste either, but not as bad as some I've seen.Uzique wrote:

In the end I would prefer a Logitech Illuminated or a Razer one that I cant remember the name of, but the Eclipse II is a perfectly good keyboard.
So first I started getting a dxgmms1.sys bluescreen every time I got a few minutes into a SCII game. Updated my video card drivers and installed some ms update as the fixes recommended, now I'm getting IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL bluescreens at the exact same time.
How fix

I actually bought the Cyborg mouse, it was suprisingly solid and well built.. however the drivers required for operating the engine and other functions also made the mouse jiggle and shake on screen...Nic wrote:

I returned that piece of factory bricked crap asap! I even looked on their forums and everyone had the same problems and Saitek didn't do anything about it...
I even needed to reinstall windows to remove the driver software, it was basically a rootkit :S

Your thoughts, insights, and musings on this matter intrigue me
woopty-fucking-doo. im up to about 550Gb of complete discographies. \o/.

IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_EQUAL is a bitch of a bluescreen. used to have it ages ago on a previous computer.Lucien wrote:

mine was entirely to do with a driver conflict. do a system restore to a week ago?

lol I've had a few of those. What graphics card do you have? If it's a fermi they're still quite buggy- there's a whole load of crap about dcp latency and random in-game freezes. If nvidia can't fix it through drivers I'm gonna RMALucien wrote:

Shouldn't be doing those, sounds like RMA time.Aries_37 wrote:

(Those are my day-to-day folders. I have tons of stuff downloaded that I don't listen to regularly)

im sorry but how is 110gb your 'day to day'
i guess 'day to day' means "day that lasts for 120 hours", and by 'daily listening' you mean "sat in a chair with music on for 23 hours"

I'm not actually getting the dcp lag, it's just one of the things I googled up when looking at the issues people have had with the card.GC_PaNzerFIN wrote:

I do get random freezes once a week or so while in-game, but atm I'm not done ruling out software yet. Some forum said that Gigabyte have confirmed that there's a problem with the either the c-state or the driver on their gtx460 and they're waiting for nvidia to do something about it.
That would be neat.max wrote:

Although, something to think about:
I have an application for my phone called gmote - http://www.gmote.org/ - and it can stream music across a wireless network... now, if you set up a VPN, could one stream music anywhere?
EE (hats
Fixed it. Somehow my DRAM multiplier was set too high by 2x.Lucien wrote:

Either:
1) by magic it changed itself
2) I have accidentally had my ram overclocked way too high for so long it can't hold it anymore
Looking at picking this up when I sell my comp:

Seems like a good buy... I dont know much about the notebook side of computing though.

Problem is it'll cost more than a medium sized car, and give it 18 months and kids will have more computing power in their iPods.Finray wrote:

meh, wont even bother to add up the cost of building it yourself. But why the hell would you put a xbox in it? Thats just stupid. And DD cases are ugly as shit.
