seriously what the hell... I turned them on again and you can hear that the speakers are on and the LEDs/screen comes on... but no sound comes out and after ~30 secs a bit of smoke comes out the top of the control box...
Smoke? Take them back to wherever you bought them from.

Sorry for raping the threat... but...
I'm suspecting it might be a faulty cable (speakers to PC)... the smoke was coming from around that area (the smoke has now stopped).. and when I play a song there is a "rhythmic" beep and the speed/rhythm of the beep changes depending on the song (corresponding to tempo etc)... Along with the fact that the speakers/screen all turn on and still make sound....
Any tech savy people able to shed any light??

What are you using to connect the computer to the speaker control box (which would be the amp lol)? Is it just a standard 3.5mm cable? What happens if you connect headphones/earbuds to the soundcard?Little BaBy JESUS wrote:

The cable is a RCA to 3.5mm

I find it depressing that my Sony Ericsson w995 is such a great quality phone and it performed so well in Switzerland; but now in the U.S. with AT&T my friends keep saying the sound quality is terrible and they can barely understand me.
