The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

WTF, she just changes her mind all the time. One minute, it's "You can get a new computer before school starts." The next it's "Why isn't our computer good enough?" We have a Pentium D desktop that I'm looking to replace with an i5 build around Sept., but that may not happen now, and my laptop my grandma helped me get, (Sony with an i3 and only the integrated graphics ) Hopefully she changes her mind, but I never know what to expect. I want to be able to play games, and I have graphic design for my art class next year, so I could really use a more powerful PC. I think my mom hates technology because she doesn't understand it, she can't even check her email without help, can't turn the computer on by herself, and gets pissed whenever I try to tell her anything about computers, but this stuff is what I like to learn about. FML

Nick, most Pentium Ds are actually reasonably powerful, the 65nm versions even are reasonably efficient. Just get rid of all the garbage and shitware you've got installed, and I'm sure that computer will be fine.

Looks like my ISPs DNS server shit itself a couple days ago. I was wondering why I could only intermittently view websites. This morning I couldn't browse any websites but Xfire and Teamspeak were working. Changed my DNS to Google's and now everything works fine.

It wasnt your ISPs DNS. It was the fact that a major DNS server (afraid.org) is getting hit hard by a DDoS so almost all of their sites' DNS arent working.ebug9 wrote:

sabnzbd+ is amazing. newsbin pro can go be literally infinitely more overpriced somewhere else.
