Anyone have a good answer as to why the Senate Finance committee voted NOT to allow the health care bill online for the people to view before it is put to vote? Any idea why the media (well except for one station) has not called obama out on this?

What a rubbish song. It's not catchy at all. They need to get those Greenday guys to write him a brainwashing song.
It's going to be funny when all the dumbfuck wild eyed green conscious neo-marxist realize they now HAVE to buy health insurance or face fines.
Universal healthcare just means money to the whore politicians.
There has never been one thing brought in on budget. This healthcare bills is being done in secret because of all the insidious things that are in it. Change we can believe in, lol.
What a farce.

They're being secretive about something that will drastically affect every single person in this country, not to mention 18% of our GDP. Mount Everest isn't a big enough mountain to describe how serious this legislature is.Ty wrote:

I'm not saying that the fact that they're keeping the bill out of the public eye is irellevent I'm saying that the paranoia this has caused seems a bit... hysterical. Alex's post makes this sound like a Pinky-and-The-Brain-esque scheme to rob all the little people of their money, (and take over the world,) but I keep thinking that no government would commit political suicide like that.
Funny thing is they'd discredit all this paranoia if they would just make it public. Or confirm it of course. Either way I'm in complete agreement, such an important bill should definitely be under public scrutiny, that's just common sense.

They don't want people picking things apart on it like the last one. I was at a town hall meeting with my Representative a month ago. People were fairly informed and articulate. They need to stop this behavior. If they keep information out of our hands, we have little argument other than general distrust of what is happening.
"The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation" - Barack Obama (a freshman senator from Illinios)
Wind the clock back 230 years and the same shit was happening.
Look what happened after that.
