Anyone have a good answer as to why the Senate Finance committee voted NOT to allow the health care bill online for the people to view before it is put to vote? Any idea why the media (well except for one station) has not called obama out on this?
but hey, the euros like him so.....
I heard they didn't want to confuse us. Sounds fair to me.
"The President does not have power under the Constitution to unilaterally authorize a military attack in a situation that does not involve stopping an actual or imminent threat to the nation" - Barack Obama (a freshman senator from Illinios)
people dont care thats the funny thing. why doesnt cindy sheehan and code pink go protest this eh? this is a big fucking deal.LividBovine wrote:

I'll borrow a quote from EX-CZAR Van Jones. "They're assholes". After seeing what the opposition AND THE MAJORITY OF THE US POPULOUS did to their last attempt, they have to rush it through. The more people learn about the legislation coming from Washington nowadays, the more angry and resistant they become. The fact is that the Supreme Community Organizer and the D-congress is completely out of touch with reality and the people they represent. It is like a giant moronothon facilitated by the media. They want the general public remain infatuated with the big O, and ignorant as to the ramifications of the policies he is imposing upon them. It is despicable.Red Forman wrote:

Sheehan was used by the left to protest "Bush" not the war. Now that the big O is ruining the show she needs to just go away. Seriously, she is still protesting the war -but isn't getting any coverage from the left media. She was merely trying to justify her son's death, to find some meaning. The left used her. It is that simple.Red Forman wrote:

Sad though, around 1 million march on Washington to protest the current admins policy and it is barely covered... However a few years ago, Sheehan and a sign outside of Camp David brought the wrath of the media 24/7 coverage.... Fucking pathetic

I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something. - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.
Don't forget Kadaffi and Castro. As long as the big O keeps the baddies laughing at er.. with him -we're cool.Red Forman wrote:

It really would be funny -if it wasn't so scary. This fucker doesn't see himself as an American. He does not act in the interests of the free world. Never has, never will. This emperor has no clothes.Red Forman wrote:

If it was put online it would derail everything. Democrats would freak out about not getting enough benefits and republicans would freak out over how many benefits are being given.
that's terrible reasoning to not put up a bill for the public to read. especially since it affects the public. and double especially since one of Obama's big platforms was transparent government.Macbeth wrote:

Don't you guys put all bills online for people to look at?

Seems odd that they'd even vote about it then.
Getting a bill they would like passed trimpuhs transparency.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

Well yeah, that seems pretty apparent. I really hoped Obama would be above this kind of shit, but apparently not. Although I guess he can't make the whole Democratic party step in line.Red Forman wrote:

Because all politicians, Lord Jesus Obama included, think that we are simply there to furnish them with a position of power.
Because western governments all have spin departments who's only duty is to mislead the people into doing what the politicians what, not what is right for the people.
Because if there is any chance that we, the people can decipher the legal mumbo jumbo the wrap up their silent policies in, they simply do not let us see it.
Because they veiw us as a bunch of sheep not on an equal mental level.
Because politicians are cunts....................I could go on...................

Really? This is Obama's cup-o-tea. Chicago Politics. There isn't anything transparent about Obama or especially his agenda.ghettoperson wrote:

So what's the timeline on this thing. Seems like there's nothing you guys can do about the whole healthcare thing and it's all a matter of voting it through the Congress. When is that bill going to become a law?
Insert obligatroy schoolhouse rock

even better. gg nObama.

Insurers Criticize Administration 'Gag Order'
The federal government has ordered health insurers to stop telling Medicare beneficiaries that proposed health reform legislation could hurt seniors and jeopardize their benefits.
The government might take enforcement action against insurers that have tried to mobilize opposition to the legislation by sending their enrollees "misleading and confusing" messages, a senior official of the Department of Health and Human Services said in a memo Monday.

thats utter crap. They don't want people to get a chance to read it, because it again is another bill trying to be passed to limit the freedoms of the people, force them to pay $$ for other peoples health care or be fined. Prevent the purchase of natural supplements by categorizing them as pharmaceutical drugs to be purchased from specific suppliers. Yada yada yada...LividBovine wrote:

I have no evidence for this, but I read they really are limiting the ability for people to choose their own path when it comes to healing. Soon, you will no longer be able to take care of yourself in your own home, supplements will not be purchasable in health markets, or food co-ops.
Chemical drugs and mercury filled vaccines will be mandatory...
Nature is a powerful force. Those who seek to subdue nature, never do so permanently.
yay obama. poor kids.
