Turbo boats hack!

Last night on Blue Pearl I noticed this hack for the first time. They even used it twice.
The boat is probably 5x faster than normal and is almost entirely in the air above the water!
This hack seems to be perfect for this map, because it's great for the USA to have turbo (nitro) boats. I was on the China team and managed to kill such a boat, it's still possible. But I had a good laugh!
Anyone else noticed this hack in use?

Hm, I don't know, really. It was either a French or a German server (not IO, I hate IO).

Yea i saw someone doing that the other night. It's not a hack, just more of a glitch, anyone can do it. It's been around for a while.

The speedboat glitch has been around for as long as I can remember... And its not even unfair advantage really as it requires enormous amount of skill to perform and people using it are still vulrenable, just a little harder to hit.

Yes, I agree with that as I was able to destroy 2 such boats.

OK, my mistake - it's a glitch, not a hack.

I never tried the scroll wheel thing, did it used to work with normal scroll wheel or did you need to use a fast scroll wheel like on Logitech mice where it spins by itself?

I don't think he meant ENORMOUS, just that the fact you probably can't always do it first try makes it pretty pointless so if you was to try more than once in a row in a game you'd have more chance of dying than if you was to drive it normally to wherever you're going

Really because he said "enormous" so I'm pretty sure that's what he meant...

Just because a bad player like yourself couldn't do it on Wake doesn't mean it takes high levels of skill.

its not a hack, its a glitch. Kudos for finding it, but sif use it.

I know of one local bloke that used it in a scrim...idiot either didnt know it was br recorded or that no one would go over the br....

I have to try the turbo boat glitch on Blue Pearl, but it looks difficult - you need some sort of small obstacle in front of the boat in order to speed up?

This glitch has been around for as long as wake island has been. It's usually done by lifting the nose of the boat on the tail of the downed zero fighter in the water off the US arty island. Unfortunately there is no such obstruction to use on Blue Pearl. HOWEVER!!!!, it is actually much easier to do if you use one boat (zodiac) to hit another zodiac side on and duck-dive under the hull of the perpendicular craft. Most of the time the nose of the boat will rise out of the water on the far side allowing you to balance the boat on the propeller with the entire hull out of the water. It will then travel about 10 times faster than normal. I expect that once the use of another boat to do this become a bit more common knowledge it will be a common tactic used by the US team on Blue Pearl when the Chinese team has capped out all the flags. Of course you still have to get rid of the APC that always has to sit in the water north of the temple(?) flag point before you have any chance of getting past.

Having thought for a bit more I'll probably use this on Clean Sweep too. Won't it be nice to run a zodiac from the US uncap to the MEC arty in about 10 - 15 seconds. Ha Ha Ha.

I only put this one up because I feel that the Blue Pearl map is strongly weighted toward a Chinese victory and the US team usually has little or no chance of making landfall once the Chinese have capped out all the flags (which is quite common). I have spent quite a few rounds trying to do so and have sometimes just sat in the warehouse at the US uncap along with half of my team waiting for the round to be over and the Dalian Plant map to load. Although I do have to admit to enjoying having a full squad of 6 AT kits sitting on the wall picking off boats and APC's when I have the good fortune to be on the Chinese team.
