Alright, so my sister plugged in her usb drive to copy some word files over to my machine to print, and now I cannot use Task Manager or Regedit to fix shit. I google'd for the problem, but there's just too many different things and im quite unsure of what to do. I've run Spybot S&D, but that only temporarily fixes the problem, after rebooting it's fucked up again. So now I ask you, the techies of BF2s, wtf can I do to fix this.
is regedt32.exe in your windows/system32 folder?
yup, even double clickin that, i get the message that it's been disabled by the administrator

So I figured out a way to fix the regedit problem, had an old VB program that I used on my old machine, which then allowed me to fix my task manager value in the registry. However every time I use one of the kingston usb drive's in the house, the registry probelm reappears; any ideas as to whats wrong besides them all being infected with a virus?
Perhaps it's the Kingston USB drive that is infected with the virus and NOT the computers?
Run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and see what that gets you, too.

Uh-oh - nasty virus.
1 Try Malwarebytes, give it a day or two and try again - if not I'm out of ideas, unless you can identify the virus yourself. Maybe scan the stick by itself, make sure you don't have admin rights on the machine or you'll infect that too.
2. Turn off 'auto-run' for USB sticks - very important - there was a windows patch a while ago, or you can do it yourself - search for 'disable autorun'
3. Backup what data you can.
4. Slap your sister
5. Slap yourself for not scanning her USB stick.
Otherwise a quick search 'task manager disabled by administrator' throws up a load of stuff
